Any Animal Group – Prison Farms

The group has been lobbying for the farms to be plant based and act as a sanctuary for farm animals.

It says it is pleased Collins Bay will be used for crops…but is shocked and upset about Joyceville Institution.  It says the farm will have about 400 goats to produce milk for the Chinese baby formula factory being built in Kingston…and it will slaughter animals from approximately 350 local farms.

Evolve Our Prison Farms says slaughtering animals is profoundly inappropriate as a rehabilitative model for prisoners.
