December 3 – 31: Homes For The Holidays – Shelter Tours

Home for the Holidays begins December 3, 2017 with reduced adoption fees for cats/kittens, free hot cider, a giving area for donations, & an assortment of gifts. The event runs until December 31. Spayed & neutered cats are $95 and spayed & neutered kittens are $135. All animals have been health checked, dewormed, microchipped, & come with six weeks of free pet insurance! Cats are also available for adoption at our satellite adoption centres. A Christmas tree & wreath sale will coincide with this event. Trees & a limited number of wreaths are available for purchase until December 24 at the Kingston Humane Society. Trees cost $45 each with $10 going to support the animals within KHS.

 

December 13: Light Up the Night

Kingston Jewish Council invites you to join us at our 11th annual Hanukkah celebration in the Springer Market Square Amphitheater! This event takes place at 5:30pm. Enjoy the lighting of the menorah while singing along with the KJC Choir, eating potato latkes, and drinking hot chocolate. Everyone is welcome! Donations are appreciated.

 

December 16: Christmas Turkey Shoot

2:00pm – 4:30pm. RCHA Club 193 Ontario Street. Come out for a fun afternoon and win yourself a Turkey for Christmas. Cost 5 darts for $4.00. No skill necessary. You have the chance on 10 Turkeys plus one as a draw. The object of the game is to throw five darts at a picture of a turkey, each dart hole is circled and put on a grid with numbers, the numbers are totalled, the highest wins a turkey. It is a hidden score so that anywhere on the target will count, you don’t have to be a dart player to play this game it’s really just luck which makes it easy for anyone to participate and have a chance at winning.
