November 16 – 26: Annie The Musical

The Kingston Meistersingers are proud to present everyone’s favourite musical, “Annie”, opening Thursday, November 16th at the Octave Theatre and playing for 10 performances until Sunday, November 26th. Tickets are available at the Grand Box Office and at meistersingers.ca

 

November 22: “Scouting 101” for Parents and Guardians

We invite the community to come to our seminar and learn all about Scouts Canada, our youth-led activities, safety culture, volunteer screening, and how boys and girls can benefit and grow through our programs. Join the session at 7pm at the Ongwanada Resource Centre, located at 191 Portsmouth Ave, Kingston. RSVP to amy.patterson@scouts.ca Light refreshments and child minding is available. November 24: Medical Memories P.A. Day Program 

A hands-on exploration of over 150 years of medical advancement in Canada. Learn about healthcare practices around the time of Confederation. Handle medical artifacts and learn about treatments for various ailments by asking different “professionals” for their medical advice — some advice will be scientifically sound and some will be quackery! Create and take home your own home remedy to a common ailment from the 1800s.
Recommended for ages 6-12. Accompanying adults welcome. Pre-registration required (spaces are limited).
Location: Museum of Health Care, 32 George Street
Time: 10:00 to 11:30 am
Cost: $3 per participant (no charge for accompanying adults)

November 25: Cut-A-Thon

Fabhair in downtown kingston is holding a cut-a-thon from 3-6 pm. With a silent auction that will run from the 20th to the 25th. We are raising money for A Child’s Voice Foundation. This a charity that gives financially disadvantaged children that have lost their hair due to treatment or disorder, support with medical products and wigs needed.  All proceeds go directly to the foundation. Women’s cuts are $30 and men’s cuts $20.

 

November 26: A Christmas Concert

Featuring popular Seasonal melodies. Performed by renowned local artists Jon McLurg & Chris Murphy. From 7 pm to 9 pm in the Perth Road Sunday School Hall, Perth Road Village. Free Will Offering & Refreshments to follow
