Details

Kingston and surrounding area have been well-represented provincially, nationally and internationally by outstanding athletes, builders and athlete/builders over many years.

Names such as Arniel, Brown, Bulak, Doucet, Carty, Convery, Elliott, Goodridge, Hawkins, Lavallee, McDonald, O’Connor, Pennock,Skene, Torcolacco, Van Hooser are etched into Kingston’s sporting history. We honour them through induction into our Sports Hall of Fame.

Five outstanding individuals will enter the KDSHF on May 5th this year! Two builders and three athletes!

Builder: John Hall  – John Hall’s name is well-known in the community in many circles, including track & field, basketball and volleyball.

Builder: Harry Radley, fondly known as Yip – You probably haven’t heard of Yip, but he was a fine lacrosse and football athlete, and almost a master of many sports!

Athlete: Brent Johnson – CFL fans will remember Brent as a lineman with the BC Lions

Athlete: Mike Knott – Mike Knott is well-known as one the city city’s Ponies

Athlete: Paul Ragusa –  you will remember Paul Ragusa’s name from the Atlanta Olympic Games (1996), perhaps from two Pan Am Games or from the Commonwealth Games hosted in 1994 in Victoria.
