The first round of play-offs for the Kingston Frontenacs are revving up!

 

The Kingston Frontenacs finished the 2016-17 Regular Season in 4th place in the Eastern Conference and secured home-ice advantage with wins this weekend against Hamilton (5-3 on March 17 in Kingston), Barrie (6-3 on March 18 in Barrie), and North Bay (5-4 on March 19 in North Bay).

  • After the 68 game regular season schedule, the Frontenacs finished with 33 wins, 26 regulation losses, 5 overtime loss, and 4 shootout losses for 75 points.
  • The Frontenacs finished in 4th place in the Eastern Conference, 10 points behind the Oshawa Generals in 3rd place, and 1 points ahead of the Hamilton Bulldogs in 5th place.
  • Second year forward Jason Robertson (2017 NHL Draft Prospect) led the Frontenacs in scoring with 42 goals and 39 assists for 81 points in 68 games played this season.
  • Overage defenceman Stephen Desrocher (Toronto Maple Leafs Draft Pick) was second in scoring with 12 goals and 29 assists for 51 points in 65 games played this season.
  • Rookie forward Linus Nyman (2017 NHL Draft Prospect) was third in scoring, and first for Frontenacs rookies, with 26 goals and 24 assists for 50 points in 68 games played this season. His total scoring is second among all OHL rookies and his goals scored is first among all OHL rookies.

The Round 1, best of 7 series opens in Kingston for games 1 and 2 before moving to Hamilton for games 3 and 4. The series then alternates between Kingston and Hamilton for games 5 through 7 if necessary:
