Door To Door Mail

Canada Post is suspending the installation of community mailboxes after the election of a Liberal majority government.

The Liberals made an election pledge to scrap the move away from door-to-door delivery.

It means nearly half a million households that were going to be converted to super boxes by the end of the year will keep get home mail service.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers says it will push the new government to reverse the door-to-door service cuts already made to households over the last 10 months.
