Meet our beautiful Belle. Belle is a very special girl, who came to us as a stray back in April of 2015. Belle is a shy lady, but warms up with time and love. She is a very sweet, gentle girl, who loves to snuggle up beside you on the couch, and give kisses on your nose or hands to show her affection. She is playful, curious, and enjoys watching the world from the comfort of a windowsill. During her spay surgery, it was noted by our veterinary technicians that Belle had a severe urinary tract infection (UTI). She underwent several weeks of antibiotic treatment before her infection finally cleared. Or so we thought. Prior to moving Belle up for adoption, staff conducted a final urinalysis to ensure Belle was healthy and ready to find a forever home. Unfortunately, at this time, we discovered that, not only had her UTI returned, she had also developed urinary crystals. After several more weeks of antibiotics, and a change in diet, we are now confident that we have her problems under control. Belle no longer is having any urinary issues, however, she will likely need to remain on a special urinary diet given her urinary sensitivities. This diet is affordable and can be purchased through any veterinary clinic. She would need a family who currently has or can develop a solid relationship with a veterinary clinic. She will be available for adoption at our reduced Special Needs adoption fee. She is already spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and will come with 6 weeks of free pet insurance. Can you give this girl her second chance at a loving, forever home?
