Canada’s Andre De Grasse has won the bronze medal with a time of 9.91 seconds in the 100-metre dash at Rio 2016.

Jamaica’s Usain Bolt claimed the gold with a time of 9.81 seconds to become the first triple Olympic gold medallist in the 100-metre event.

 

 

De Grasse is also the first Canadian male athlete to earn a medal in Rio.

The United States’ Justin Gatlin took home the silver in a time of 9.89.
