The vehicle crashed through a bedroom wall at the home around 2:15 this morning. The people in the vehicle fled the scene before police got there. The fire departments Tech Unit used what’s called ‘T-shoring’ to stabilize the building.

Human Remains

The OPP is continuing to investigate the discovery of human remains in a remote area of South Frontenac.

The remains were found by a person who was duck hunting on Saturday morning on a property on Opinicon Road northeast of Perth Road Village.

A couple who live on the property say a family friend found human bones near Black Ash swamp.

They say their son had also recently found a backpack and jacket on the property, but they don’t know if they were connected to the discovery of the bones.

The OPP says the identity of the remains and cause of death haven’t been determined.

They are assisting the coroner in the investigation.

Sexual Assaults

A 24-year-old Kingston man has been charged with sexually assaulting the daughters of the woman he had been living with from 2016 to the end of 2017.

The man faces a total of 15 charges after Kingston Police learned about numerous sexual assaults and other sex offences involving the girls who were under the age of 16.

The woman broke off her relationship with the man in December of 2017.

Assault – Political Argument

Kingston Police have charged a 29-year-old man with sexual assault and choking after a political argument with his girlfriend turned violent. Police say the pair returned to the woman’s home early Sunday morning and got into an argument over politics. They claim the man grabbed the woman by the throat, pinned her down on her bed and tried to rip off her clothes. She screamed for a roommate to call police and the man left. He was arrested outside of the residence.

Gathering Goes Wrong

A crash on Joyceville Road Saturday night followed a wild chase involving a man trying to get away from a pickup truck.

Police say the driver of the pickup had a grudge and the man he was chasing left a party on a farm property north of the 401 on Saturday to get away from the man.

Police say his vehicle was chased at speeds of up to 200 km/h before the truck hit a guardrail, flipped over, landed on its wheels and hit another vehicle at the intersection of Joyceville Road and Middle Road.

A 22-year-old Kingston man is facing numerous charges including impaired driving and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
