50th Academy Of Country Music Awards - Arrivals

Jake Owen seems to be pretty sick of people asking him a certain question

“I get so tired of hearing these people ask, ‘So what do you think of bro-country?’ I don’t care.” he says from his interview with Rolling Stone Country. “It’s so annoying,”

While Jake’s got a bit more serious with songs like  “What We Ain’t Got”, he’s also recorded songs like “Beachin”,” so he’s no stranger to the debate.

He also said why he thinks it’s an annoying question, by bringing up the atmosphere of the festivals he’s been to:

“People are there for the experience and for the music, and they’re there for the way it feels to relate to a song that you just like. There’s not much more thought to it than that, and if you try to put more thought into it than that, you’re a d—”

He summed up his opinions on the bro-country concept in one neat little sentence:

“I get so tired of people who try to put everything into a box.”

So does Jake make some sense? Or is there merit to asking about bro-country? Let us know what YOU think!
