Kingston Pen – POH – Visioning

The latest plan for Kingston Penitentiary and the Portsmouth Olympic Harbour calls for the preservation of the main parts of the prison as a tourist attraction…green space on 30% of the property and residential development.  It also calls for a new community centre and marina on the Olympic Harbour site with residential units and new docks.

The new vision was unveiled at two workshops yesterday.  The city is asking people to comment and a further workshop to get more input will be held in May or June.  A final design should be ready sometime this summer.
