Police Standoffs

Kingston Police say two separate standoffs ended with two men being arrested on Saturday night.

A man with a knife barricaded himself inside a home on Woodhaven Drive.

Donations Make Charities Day

Kingston has a heart and the proof is in donations to Martha’s Table and the Kingston Youth Shelter.

The Kinsmen Club of Kingston has donated $1,450 to Martha’s Table after learning a banker’s bag containing that amount of cash was stolen from the trunk of a vehicle in early October.  Other people have also come forward to make donations to the charitable organizations.

The Kingston Youth Shelter says its pantry is now full after generous gifts from people.  The shelter had asked for donations of food last Thursday saying their beds were full…but their panty was nearly empty.
